We undertook a project for a Cambodian hotel wall covering with gold leaf and painting. The entire process was entirely handcrafted. First, the panels were sprayed with clear varnish to achieve a smooth surface. Second, water-based gold leaf glue was applied and allowed to sit for 40 minutes. Third, Taiwanese hand-grabbed gold leaf was applied. Fourth, excess leaf was cleaned. Fifth, the design was hand-painted according to the client's requirements. Sixth, a protective topcoat was applied.
